Author Tutorial
1. Write a Story
Yes, that´s obvious for an Author Tutorial, we know. But if you have never done it before it´s very important you take your time. This story will serve as your application and it will be judged in the same manner as all the other Stories on our Website, so be sure it is your best work so you will have no problem being accepted. If you were already a writer on a different website, you can upload one of your existing stories. But again, show us your best work so you have the best chance of being accepted.
Hard Limits
Here are the hard restrictions that you absolutely have to follow to be accepted:
No Child Abuse
There is absolutely no tolerance for pornographic content with children here. We do understand however that a hard limit that all characters have to be over 18 would be too restriciting for many stories. That´s why our rule is as follows: No sex with characters under 16 is allowed. If a character is between 16 and 18 their partner is not allowed to be more than two years older than they are.
No Glorified Violence
Murder, savage beatings, rape and racism are tragedys and should be treated as such. We allow these topics to be in the stories because unfortunately they are a part of our everyday life and we encourage a meaningful discussion of them. However, we won´t allow these things to be glorified in any way. When approaching these themes, you need to add a disclaimer at the beginning of your story and you need to be very careful to make sure you give an authentic perspective of all the damage done.
Soft Limits
With these hard rules out of the way, there are also some softer guidlines that you should adhere to. Of course, if you already have a Story that you think will revolutionise the genre of Erotic stories, which is already done and stops at 3998 Words, feel free to upload. These are guidlines. We won´t immediately reject you if you have one word too little and a spelling mistake.
A 500 word story without paragraphs on the other hand is very unlikely to get accepted, so keep these in mind:
4000 Words
Your Story has to have at least 4000 Words. This is an arbitrary and somewhat high number, but in our experience its actually very difficult to write convincing characters with that amount of words. If you try writing for a bit, you will realize 4000 Words are less than you think.
Add Paragraphs!
We can´t stress this enough because we see it missing a lot on other sites. Paragraphs are an essential element of storytelling. They provide structure to written work, allowing the reader to easily follow the flow of ideas and understand the author’s message. Paragraphs also break up large blocks of text, making them easier to read and digest. By using paragraphs, authors can highlight specific ideas or emotions, creating emphasis and guiding the reader’s attention. Improve your readability, add Paragraphs!
Grammer and Spelling
Unfortunately we have to include this, also because we see it on many other sites. Poor grammar and spelling distract your reader from the story itself and make it more difficult to follow the plot or understand the characters. It is very hard for a reader to take a story seriously if they constantly encounter spelling mistakes and wondering how something could make sense grammatically breaks the immersion immediately. Even if English is not your native language, you can still use grammer checking tools to make sure there are no grave errors.
Story First
Focus first and foremost on telling a good story. It doesn´t matter if you are able to write the best technical description of the act of sex itself, if if there isn´t any story around it no one is going to be interested in what you write or remember it later. Sex should happen in your story, not be the entire story.
These are just some basics guidlines from people who love reading erotica. It absolutely isn´t a full tutorial on how to write an erotic story, it is not supposed to be. We leave you to figure that out for youself and learn on the way. Maybe try submitting a story, and even if you don´t get in on the first try, we will give you feedback which might improve your future writing.

2. Submit your Story
Now that you have written your best story yet, or selected something out of your creations that you are really proud of, make it look acceptable and put it into a PDF file. Then Log In to your Sexystories Account using the button in the header or register a new Account if you don´t have one yet.
If everything worked correctly, you should now see a Story Submission Form below this text. Fill it out and upload the PDF of your Story. Our Team of Admins will review your submission. After a few days you will recieve an Email with Feedback about your Story, and either what you need to improve on your next story or confirmation that your Account has been upgraded to Author status.
3. Watch the Author Tutorial
After you recieved Email confirmation that you were accepted as an Author, navigate to your Account Dashboard using the link in the Footer below or the home symbol on the header. There you will see a Video Tutorial that explains what you can now do as an Author and how you can upload new Stories. Congratulations, we look forward to seeing what you will write in the future!
